Khatm E Ghousia: A Spiritual Practice of Reciting Qaseedah Ghausia
Khatm E Ghousia is a spiritual practice of reciting Qaseedah Ghausia, a poem composed by the great Sufi saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (ra). Qaseedah Ghausia is a praise of Allah and His Messenger (saw), as well as a supplication for divine blessings and guidance. It also contains secrets of gnosis and spiritual elevation.
Qaseedah Ghausia is divided into 11 stanzas, each with its own virtues and benefits. According to some sources, reciting Qaseedah Ghausia 11 times daily can bring one closer to Allah and His beloved Prophet (saw), as well as grant one the vision of Allah and His awliya (friends). Reciting Qaseedah Ghausia with specific intentions can also help one achieve one's worldly and spiritual goals, such as gaining knowledge, wealth, health, love, protection, etc.
Khatm E Ghousia is usually performed in a group or majlis, with a leader who recites the Qaseedah aloud and the followers who repeat after him. Before and after the recitation, Durood Shareef (salutations upon the Prophet) and Fateha (opening chapter of the Quran) are offered for the Prophet (saw), Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (ra) and all the masters of the Qadiriyya order. The recitation is done with respect, devotion and concentration, while facing the Qibla (direction of Kaaba).

Qadiriyya order is one of the oldest and most widespread Sufi orders in the world. The order is known for its emphasis on the love of Allah and His Messenger (saw), as well as the love of humanity and all creation. The order also teaches its followers to seek knowledge, practice charity, uphold justice, and serve the community.
The Qadiriyya order has many branches and sub-orders, each with its own distinctive features and practices. Some of the famous branches are the Jilaniyya, named after Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (ra), the founder of the order; the Sultaniyya, named after Sultan Bahu (ra), a seventeenth-century saint from India; the Boutchichiyya, named after Sheikh Hamza al-Boutchichi (ra), a twentieth-century saint from Morocco; and the Noshahiyya, named after Sheikh Muhammad Noshahi (ra), a twentieth-century saint from Pakistan.
The Qadiriyya order has produced many eminent scholars, saints, poets, and leaders throughout history. Some of them are Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (ra), Sheikh Ahmed ar-Rifa'i (ra), Sheikh Abdul Wahab al-Sha'rani (ra), Sheikh Ahmed Sirhindi (ra), Sheikh Shah Waliullah Dehlawi (ra), Sheikh Ahmed Zarruq (ra), Sheikh Abd al-Aziz al-Dabbagh (ra), Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba (ra), Sheikh Umar Futi Tal (ra), Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse (ra), Sheikh Muhammad Ilyas Kandhlawi (ra), Sheikh Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhlawi (ra), Sheikh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi (ra), and Sheikh Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri (ra).
The Qadiriyya order is open to all Muslims who want to follow the path of Sufism and attain closeness to Allah and His Messenger (saw). The order does not impose any rigid rules or conditions on its adherents, but rather encourages them to follow the Quran and Sunnah, as well as the guidance of their spiritual masters. The order also respects and appreciates other Sufi orders and Islamic schools of thought, and promotes harmony and tolerance among Muslims and non-Muslims alike. 29c81ba772
